Pittsburgh cut Foelsch on Friday, Teresa Varley of the team's official site reports. Foelsch has spent time with the Panthers, Jets, Eagles, Chiefs and Steelers since going undrafted out of New Haven in 2024, but he's still searching for a chance to make his regular-season debut. The second-year tight end will likely end up finding a spot on a practice squad this season.

Kevin Foelsch: Breaking News
Picked up again by Pittsburgh
The Steelers signed Foelsch on Monday, Teresa Varley of the team's official site reports. Less than a week after being waived by Pittsburgh, Foelsch is now getting another chance with the team. He's still probably on the outside looking in in terms of earning a spot on the final 53-man roster for 2025, as Pat Freiermuth, Jonnu Smith and Darnell Washington are projected to occupy the top three slots on the depth chart at tight end.
Let go by Steelers
Foelsch was waived by the Steelers on Tuesday, Alan Saunders of SteelersNow.com reports. Foelsch signed with Pittsburgh last Tuesday, but he was cut to open up space for the signing of Daryl Porter. The 24-year-old Foelsch has bounced around five different teams since going undrafted in 2024 and will once again look for a new home.
