The Browns signed Floriea to a reserve/future contract Monday. The rookie out of Kent State spent the year on Cleveland's practice squad and did not play in an NFL game after going undrafted in 2025. Floriea will participate in the Browns' offseason activities and attempt to earn a spot on their active roster next season.
The Browns signed Floriea to the practice squad Tuesday, Mary Kay Cabot of The Cleveland Plain Dealer reports. Floriea and the Browns reached an injury settlement in mid-August after the 23-year-old wideout suffered a hamstring injury in the preseason opener against the Panthers. Floriea appears to have fully recovered from the injury and has opted to return to Cleveland on the practice squad.
The Browns waived Floriea (hamstring) from injured reserve with an injury settlement Wednesday, Mary Kay Cabot of The Cleveland Plain Dealer reports. Floriea was set to miss the entire 2025 season after reverting to the Browns' injured reserve Tuesday. The injury settlement allows the Kent State product to sign with a team once he's healthy, and Zac Jackson of The Athletic relays that the Browns are aiming to bring Floriea back to the practice squad once he's fully recovered from his hamstring injury.
