He's expected to stay on the injured reserve list for the whole of the 2024 campaign as he recovers from a ruptured MCL. Nick Torres could see an uptick in action at practice in the meantime.
Kansas City waived Mettauer (knee) with an injury designation Monday, Matt Derrick of ChiefsDigest.com reports. Mettauer tore his MCL in Kansas City's preseason opener against Jacksonville, though head coach Andy Reid said after the game that the injury won't require surgery. The offensive guard will likely clear waivers and be placed on IR.
