Mitch Van Vooren: Everything you need to know

The Browns waived Van Vooren on Sunday. Van Vooren did not impress enough to land a spot on the team's final roster after having signed with them earlier this month. The rookie undrafted free agent will now look for another NFL opportunity and could be a candidate to land on Cleveland's practice squad.

The Browns signed Van Vooren to a contract Monday. The undrafted free agent out of St. Norbert was let go by the Seahawks in mid-June, but Van Vooren will get another shot at making an NFL roster with the Browns. He's a longshot to make the Browns' 53-man roster in late August, but a strong training camp could give Van Vooren the opportunity to stick around on the team's practice squad.

The Seahawks waived Van Vooren on Friday. Van Vooren signed with Seattle as an undrafted free agent June 4, but his time with the team didn't last long. Van Vooren had participated in rookie minicamp with Cleveland prior to signing with the Seahawks.
