The 24-year-old out of Saginaw Valley State was brought in last week to ensure depth at running back if Jerome Ford was unable to suit up Sunday, and the team has since decided to move on. In a corresponding move, the Browns signed running back Kenyan Drake to their practice squad Tuesday.

As injuries pile up in the Browns' running backs room, they saw fit to bring McCrary aboard to provide some depth at the position. If starter Jerome Ford can't go, McCrary could be elevated as soon as Sunday at Seattle.
