Quentin Skinner: Everything you need to know

The Jets signed Skinner off their practice squad Saturday. The 24-year-old from Kansas joined the Jets' practice squad in late August after failing to make the initial 53-man roster, but he's now been elevated ahead of Sunday's matchup against the Patriots. Skinner has yet to make his NFL debut after posting 557 receiving yards and four touchdowns on 25 catches during his final collegiate season in 2024.

Skinner signed with the Jets' practice squad Wednesday. The 6-foot-5, 195-pound wide receiver was productive at Kansas but went undrafted. Skinner registered eight receptions for a team-high 114 yards and a touchdown during the preseason, but it wasn't enough to secure one of the Jets' five receiver spots.

Skinner was waived Tuesday, Randy Lange and Eric Allen of the Jets' official site report. Skinner gave the coaching staff something to think about with a productive preseason, but the undrafted rookie out of Kansas ultimately failed to make the initial 53-man roster for the Jets. He'll almost certainly stick around with the team's practice squad if he passes through waivers unclaimed.
