The Broncos placed Thomas (undisclosed) on the practice squad injured list Tuesday, Ben Swanson of the team's official site reports. The nature and severity of Thomas' injury isn't clear, but he won't be eligible to be elevated to the Broncos' active roster for at least four games. That makes Week 11 against the Chiefs on Sunday, Nov. 16 the earliest he would be able to be called up from the practice squad.
The Broncos signed Thomas to the practice squad Tuesday, Luca Evans of The Denver Post reports. Thomas spent the offseason with Minnesota, and the last two years on the team's practice squad, but he was cut late August and now gets an opportunity in Denver. The 27-year-old wideout is still looking for a chance to make his regular-season debut.
