The NFL lifted Walker's 12-game suspension Tuesday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports. Walker was served with a 12-game suspension by the league in early August. Now that the suspension has been lifted, the 2018 third-rounder can look to sign with a team in need of depth in the secondary. Walker last saw regular-season action in 2023 with the Lions, when he tallied 59 tackles (42 solo), including 1.0 sacks, two pass defenses and one forced fumble across 17 games.

Tracy Walker: Breaking News
Suspended 12 games
Walker has been suspended for 12 games, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports. Walker last played in the NFL in 2023, and the reason for his suspension is currently unknown. The 2018 third-round pick appeared in all 17 regular-season games for Detroit in 2023 and logged 59 tackles (42 solo), with 1.0 sacks, and is still eligible to sign with a team at any point during his suspension.
Seven tackles in blowout loss
The seven tackles Sunday were a season-high for Walker, who has played in at least 93 percent of defensive snaps since Week 3. He lost the starting safety job due to the emergence of Brian Branch but retook that mantle after C.J. Gardner-Johnson landed on IR after Week 2. Walker and the Lions will look to get back on track in Week 8 against the Raiders at home.
