The Raiders hosted Carlton (undisclosed) for a visit Tuesday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports. Carlton was let go by the Bears with an injury settlement in mid-September, though the nature and severity of the injury was not disclosed. He's progressed enough in his recovery to meet with teams, and he'll look to join a team in need of depth on the defensive line.

The Bears cut Carlton (undisclosed) from the practice squad injured list with an injury settlement Friday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports. Carlton landed on the injured list Sept. 13, though the nature of the injury is unclear. He'll now be free to join any team.

Carlton didn't play in the team's Week 1 loss versus the Vikings, so it's currently unclear where he picked up the injury.
