Cunningham appeared in 13 regular-season games with the Eagles last season, recording 85 total tackles and four passes defended. He could be elevated to Denver's active roster in the near future to serve as a rotational inside linebacker.
Cunningham exited Sunday's win over the Bills with the injury and was unable to return. His potential absence moving forward for any length of time would certainly be a blow to the Eagles' linebacker corps, although it's still not clear how likely him missing time may be. His practice status in the days ahead should shed more light on his potential to suit up Week 13 against the 49ers.
Cunningham was initially considered questionable to return after exiting Sunday's matchup, but he'll be unavailable down the stretch. Whether he'll be available for next Sunday's game against San Francisco remains to be seen.
Cunningham was checked out in the blue tent before eventually going into the locker room. He had a team-leading 10 tackles (seven solo) before exiting Sunday's game. In Cunningham's absence, Christian Elliss has filled in at linebacker alongside Nicholas Morrow and Haason Reddick.
