Pacers center Roy Hibbert married his longtime girlfriend Valerie Cooke on Saturday.

The wedding to Cooke, who he met at Georgetown University, took place in Indiana, and plenty of Hibbert’s teammates were in attendance.

Here’s what you need to know.


1. Several Teammates Took to Social Media to Congratulate the Couple.

Hibbert’s Indiana teammates were at the wedding and posted photos from the event, including George Hill, Paul George and Ian Mahinmi.


2. She Reportedly Had an Affair With Paul George

BallerAlert.com posted a story that alleged George and Cooke had an affair together. According to the story, she felt guilty and told Hibbert and that’s how he found out originally.

The website acknowledged it cannot confirm the accuracy of the story, but the rumor nonetheless spread quickly.

George got tired of the rumors, and took to Twitter to voice his frustrations.


3. The Couple Met at Georgetown

Hibbert and Cooke met while attending Georgetown together and have been dating ever since. While he was known for his basketball skills, she got a degree in Marketing and International Business from the university.


4. She Is a Project Manager

Cooke, who was born in 1987 in Connecticut before going to Georgetown Prep in Maryland, is currently a project manager at a small firm near Indianapolis. Before that, she worked at Blue Flame, LLC., an event management company in Norwalk, Connecticut.


5. The Original Wedding Date was Aug. 2013

The couple got engaged in 2012 and was scheduled to marry in Carmel, Indiana on Aug. 31, 2013. However, for some reason, the wedding never happened at that time, and was postponed until last week.
