Chiefs Score First

After Kansas City’s Travis Kelce scored first for the Chiefs, he showed his dance moves.

After Kelce’s touchdown, the teams traded field goals.

49ers Take Lead in Second Quarter

After falling behind 10-3, San Francisco kicker Phil Dawson hit a 55-yard field goal. Quarterback Colin Kaepernick (pictured) then hit Stevie Johnson for a nine-yard touchdown pass to cap off a 13-play, 93-yard drive to take a 13-10 lead.

49ers Retake Lead in 4th Quarter

San Francisco retook a 19-17 lead in the fourth quarter after a field goal. The drive was highlighted by a great catch by San Francisco receiver Brandon Lloyd (vine above).

The 49ers then added another field goal with just two minutes remaining to take a 22-17 lead.

Alex Smith Intercepted

With Kansas City driving down the field one final time to try to win the game, San Francisco intercepted Chiefs quarterback Alex Smith to win the game (vine above).

Smith was the quarterback for the 49ers before sustaining an injury. During the injury, he was replaced by Colin Kaepernick, and after Kaepernick caught the NFL by storm, the 49ers decided to keep the former backup and part ways with Smith.
