Candice Crawford Romo is a former beauty queen and TV reporter and the wife of CBS NFL color commentator and ex-Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo. They have been married since 2011 and have three children together. Candice Romo is also the sister of “Gossip Girl” and “The Boys” actor Chace Crawford.

1. Candice Crawford Met Tony Romo When She Was a Dallas TV Reporter
Tony Romo and Candice Crawford began dating in 2009, shortly after the QB broke up with Jessica Simpson, according to CBS News. At the time, Crawford was a reporter and anchor at CW33 in Dallas, where she covered high school sports and hosted a daily lifestyle segment.
In 2011, after Romo had proposed to Candice, Candice left the station to prepare for the couple’s wedding, CBS News reported. Dallas media reporter Ed Bark reported at the time of her departure that she hoped to return to TV some day, but not with CW33.
2. She’s a Former Miss Missouri & Miss USA Contestant

Candice Crawford, 27, grew up in Lubbock, Texas, and began competing in beauty pageants when she was a teenager, competing in the Miss Texas Teen USA pageants in 2003 and 2005, according to . She went on to attend the University of Missouri, and while a student at Mizzou, she won the Miss Missouri pageant in 2008, earning a bid to compete in the Miss USA pageant, in which she finished in the top 10.
These days, Crawford is working on “Hawk + Sloane,” a company she started with middle school friend Holly Siglin. After the friends both had the same due date for their first sons, they decided to use the names for the company. Hawk + Sloane produces essential oil sprays that help parents and children, whether it’s for sleeping, soothing, or just eliminating odors.

Prior to her career as a beauty queen and TV personality and her relationship with Romo, Candice wasn’t close to the most well-known person in her family. That distinction went to her older brother, Chase, an actor who starred on Gossip Girl and who — like Romo — used to date Carrie Underwood.

4. Tony Romo Proposed to Candice Crawford on Her 24th Birthday

Romo popped the question in 2010 as Candice was celebrating her 24th birthday with her family. The two were married during the NFL lockout in 2011 in a ceremony attended by the likes of Cowboys icons Troy Aikman and Roger Staubach and owner Jerry Jones.

She received an 8-carat yellow diamond engagement ring, which features one carat of round diamonds surrounding the center stone. Her bridesmaids wore Badgley Mischka dresses.
Guests partied into the night at a reception organized by wedding planner Todd Fiscus, whose credits include New York Giants quarterback Eli Manning’s wedding. Short ribs and pizza were promised on the new couple’s reception menu.
“We did lots of man food,” Fiscus told CBS about the menu for the big day. “I have a lot of football players to feed.”
5. Tony & Candice Have 3 Sons
About five months after the wedding, the Romos announced that Candice was pregnant with the couple’s first child. Hawkins Crawford Romo was born on April 9, 2012. Hawkins’ younger brother, Rivers, was born on March 18, 2014.
Their second child, Rivers, was born two years later and their third son, Jones, was born in 2017, according to KDAF.
