Matchup to Watch: Tennessee’s Pass Rush vs. New England’s Offensive Line

A disappearing pass rush has turned Dick LeBeau’s defense from feared to welcomed for opposing offenses.

The Titans are still ranked third in the NFL in sack percentage at 7.97 percent, but that number has dropped to a measly 3.51 (27th in the league over that span) over the last three weeks. As a result, they’ve been burned by Derek Carr, Blake Bortles and Ryan Fitzpatrick for an average of 305 yards per game and an 11:0 TD-to-INT ratio. By contrast, they allowed an average of 234.9 yards with a 17:10 TD-to-INT ratio during their first 10 games.

There’s a chance they can right the ship against the Pats, who have allowed 10 sacks (28th in the NFL) in the last three weeks, but if the Titans continue to fail to generate any pressure, Tom Brady is going to pick them apart with ease.
