WWE star Adam Rose was arrested in Lutz, Florida, just outside of Tampa early in the hours of May 11. According to the arrest report from the Hillsborough County Sheriff's office, Rose, real name Raymond Leppan, was taken into custody at around 1:30 a.m. after he allegedly put his hand on his wife, Cassandra's, face during an argument.
The report says that Rose is facing charges of domestic battery as well as witness tampering. It adds that the reason for the argument was "marital problems." The witness tampering charge stems from his alleged attempt to stop Cassandra from calling 911. The couple has two young children together, both boys. He's being held without bail in Hillsborough county.
His arrest comes amid Rose's 60-day suspension from the WWE for a second violation of the company's wellness policy. That reprimand was issued in April 2016. Fox Sports reports that Rose was maintaining his innocence on the accusations saying, "My family and I are still collecting ourselves from this blow. I have zero anger or animosity against the WWE. But feel the administrators over the WWE Wellness policy were just simply not right in taking this action. I feel facts are the facts and my family and I will be the ones putting our lives back together after this mess." Rose added that he had been taking medication to handle his ADHD.
According to his Facebook page, Adam Rose, a native of Johannesburg, South Africa, married Cassandra in April 2010. She's a native of Tampa, the couple live in the suburb of Lutz. In her Twitter bio, Cassandra writes, "Busy mom of two amazing little boys! They are my life! Happy, healthy and grateful!"
