What’s going on? Katy Perry released an anthem to the Rio Summer Olympics for 2016 called “Rise,” but there are no signs of her performing at the Opening Ceremony tonight. Is she performing?

Unfortunately, Perry is not a slated performer at the Olympics and she is also not the only star to have come out with an anthem for the event. Rappers Thiaquinho and Projota have come out with an anthem called “Alma e Coraçao,” which means ‘Heart and Soul’. You can check out their music video for the song below.

Additional performers set to sing at tonight’s event include Anitta, Giberto Gil, Luiz Melodia, Caetano Veloso, Jorge Ben Jor and Paulinho Da Viola.

As for Katy Perry’s song “Rise,” she just released the official music video for the song yesterday. The single was previously released on June 14, 2016. The Mirror reported that the song’s purpose is to show “strength and fearlessness, to remind us how we ALL can come together.” When talking about “Rise,” Perry released the following statement:

This is a song that’s been brewing inside me for years, that has finally come to the surface. I was inspired to finish it now, rather than save it for my next album, because now more than ever, there is a need for our world to unite.

Below check out the official music video for the song.

Recently, Perry has been in the media for her relationship with A-list actor Orlando Bloom. This past week, Bloom was photographed vacationing with Perry in the nude. Perry was not naked, but Bloom was and there were several censored photos released on Twitter, as you can see below.
