It’s the hype train against the model franchise on Sunday, as the Packers head to the southeast for an opening day meeting with the Jaguars.

The Packers have made the playoffs for seven straight seasons, the longest streak in the NFC. They may have fallen short last year, but will always be in the conversation with Aaron Rodgers under center. Rodgers is coming off a down year statistically, but should see a boost with the return of wideout Jordy Nelson to the Packers offense.

For Jacksonville, the hype is building that the Jaguars will be a team to be reckoned with in 2016. Blake Bortles broke out in his second season, aided by deep threats Allen Hurns and Allen Robinson on the outside. The Jaguars haven’t had a winning season since 2007, and the emergence of Bortles has fans thinking playoffs. That started an awful “Jaguars Hype” media cycle, followed by a “Don’t Believe the Hype” media cycle. The season has finally arrived, and we’ll find out soon enough if the Jaguars are worthy of their praise.
