Pistons-Raptors Preview

The Detroit Pistons and Toronto Raptors meet in a matchup of teams that saw their 2015-16 seasons come to end at the hands of the eventual champion Cleveland Cavaliers. Both teams will be shorthanded as well, with Pistons starting point guard Reggie Jackson out due to a knee injury and Raptors power forward/center Jared Sullinger sidelined following foot surgery.

The Raptors still boast one of the top perimeter tandems in the NBA in guards Kyle Lowry and DeMar DeRozan, and both DeMarre Carroll and Jonas Valanciunas are healthy after missing last season time due to injury. The Pistons will counter with a lineup anchored by center Andre Drummond, with forwards Tobias Harris and Marcus Morris being options who can score both inside and out.
