The Carolina Panthers (3-6) and New Orleans Saints (4-5) are coming off tough losses, but face a short turnaround as they prepare for Thursday Night Football at Bank of America Stadium.

There’s a lot at stake for the two NFC South rivals who are each vying for the spot behind first-place Atlanta (6-4).

The Panthers entered last week on a two-game winning streak. However, they’re coming off a deflating loss in which they blew a 17-point lead and gave up 17 points in the third quarter in their 20-17 loss to Kansas City.

New Orleans is also trying to bounce back from a brutal loss. The Saints were in position to kick the potential game-winning extra point when the Broncos blocked the extra point attempt and returned the loose ball for a two-point conversion to win the game.

The Panthers, who clinched the NFC South title the past three years, are still in search of their first division win this season.
