5. Lindsey Vonn Admitted in September 2016 That She Still Loved Woods
During an interview with Charlie Rose, Tiger Woods did not express regret for his cheating ways. The golfer was asked if he told his kids about the affairs to which he replied:
No. No. I don’t. I haven’t said that. I said everybody makes mistakes, and the reason why mommy’s living in her house and daddy’s living in his house is because daddy made mistakes, and it’s okay.
I made a bunch of mistakes. But in the end, Elin is my ex-wife. She’s one of my best friends. We’ve had two beautiful kids.
After divorcing his wife, Elin Nordegren, Woods began a relationship with Olympic gold-medalist Lindsey Vonn. The couple split in May 2015 when more cheating allegations emerged. Vonn told E! about the break-up in October 2016 saying, “It was really hard. The breakup, being together, it was all really hard. It was essentially being in a fish bowl.”
While in her episode of Running Wild With Bear Grylls, Vonn said of the Woods situation, “I loved him so much, and I still do. It just didn’t work, you know? It was too much with his competition schedule and mine. We’re still on good terms, we’re friends. But it was really hard.”
