In most fantasy football leagues, Week 14 marks the start of the playoffs. If you've made it this far, there's a good chance that you don't need a lot of help from your league's waiver wire, but that doesn't mean you need to completely ignore it. At the very least, it's never a bad idea to add depth to your bench, whether that means handcuffing your running backs, stashing players with favorable playoff schedules or even adding injured players with the hope they can get healthy in time for the final stretch of the season. Ultimately, if you're happy with your starting lineup--and odds are you are if you're in the playoffs--the goal for this week is to add as much upside to your bench as possible. With that in mind, you can click through the gallery for a closer look at some of this week's best waiver-wire targets and pickups. (Getty)

Charles Sims, Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Ownership Percentage (Yahoo): 13
Already back at practice, Sims should return to game action in Week 14, which is when he's eligible to come off the IR. He'll be backing up Doug Martin, but that has typically meant a role of 10-to-12 touches, and with a gorgeous playoff schedule (vs. New Orleans, at Dallas, at New Orleans), that should be enough for him to provide solid value for RB-needy teams. Alshon Jeffery, Chicago Bears
Ownership Percentage (Yahoo): 69
Jeffery has been dropped in a lot of leagues, but he's slated to return from his four-game suspension in Week 15. While he had been mostly disappointing this season, he will immediately step back in as Chicago's clear No. 1 receiver, Matt Barkley has shown he can produce big days for his receivers (11 catches and 125 yards for Marquess Wilson in Week 12; four catches and 93 yards for Joshua Bellamy in Week 13), and the Packers' shaky secondary presents a favorable Week 15 matchup. Josh Norman unfortunately awaits in Week 16, but Jeffery should be owned in all leagues. (Getty)

Brandon LaFell, Cincinnati Bengals
Ownership Percentage (Yahoo): 16
When A.J. Green went down, everyone rushed to pick up Tyler Boyd, but LaFell has also seen a significant volume increase. He tallied nine targets in each of the first two games without Green, and on Sunday he turned another seven targets into five catches, 95 yards and a touchdown against a solid Philadelphia Eagles secondary. For as long as Green remains sidelined, LaFell will serve as Andy Dalton's best down-field threat, and a juicy Week 14 matchup against the Cleveland Browns makes him a potential WR3 or flex option. Alfred Morris, Dallas Cowboys
Ownership Percentage (Yahoo): 12
There is perhaps no (widely-owned) handcuff more valuable than Morris. Should something happen to Ezekiel Elliott, Morris would likely immediately step in as the workhorse running back behind Dallas' punishing offensive line. Even though he's only averaging 3.8 yards per carry on the year, he would be a high-end RB2 as the starter inside this offense. Other valuable--and potentially available--handcuffs worth adding on a just-in-case basis include: Derrick Henry, DeAngelo Williams, Mike Gillislee and Andre Ellington. (Getty)

Adrian Peterson, Minnesota Vikings
Ownership Percentage (Yahoo): 47
While Peterson is ahead of schedule in his return from a torn meniscus, there's no guarantee he returns this season, especially with the Vikings fading down the stretch. Moreover, even if he does return, it will be behind an atrocious offensive line that has struggled to create running lanes. All that said, the mere potential of getting a game out of All Day--especially considering the lack of depth at the running back position--is worth stashing him on the end of your bench. (Getty)

Trevor Siemian, Denver Broncos
Ownership Percentage (Yahoo): 10
To be clear, this is for deep and two-quarterback leagues, and it's also dependent on the health of Siemian, who missed Week 13 with a foot injury. But the improving youngster had quietly thrown multiple touchdowns in three straight games, and his playoff schedule is awfully alluring, as Broncos face the Titans, Patriots and Chiefs, all of whom are in the bottom 11 in fantasy points allowed to opposing quarterbacks. If your wire is thin at the QB position, Siemian offers some decent upside down the stretch. (Getty)
