The cupboard is bare but there is at least some ramen noodles stuck way in the back. As you already know, there is not a lot to choose from on waiver wires this time of year. As fantasy leagues look towards Week 15, we are here to help you make the most of the more underrated options. They may not be big names but they could help you win your league. For starters, make sure your kicker and DST is strong. If you can get consistency from both of these positions, it can really help you in close playoff matchups. Keep in mind that you may be best served to think about what your opponent's needs are and pickup players that they may be targeting. This is especially true if your lineup and roster are essentially set. It does not mean you have to play the players you add but can stash them on your bench to keep them from your opponent. Feel free to reach out to me on Twitter @JonDAdams with specific waiver wire or fantasy questions. All ownership percentages are based on ESPN leagues but applicable across platforms. No. 7 WR Adam Thielen
Position: Wide Receiver
Team: Minnesota Vikings
Ownership Percentage: 18.9%
Add Him: Thielen is hovering in WR3 territory. He has had 9 or more fantasy points in standard leagues in three of the last five weeks. He gets the benefit of playing against the Colts and Packers secondary over the next two weeks. Thielen has particular value in three-receiver leagues. There are other players with more upside, but you could do worse than having Thielen as a spot start in one of the next two weeks. (Getty)

No. 6 TE Cameron Brate
Position: Tight End
Team: Tampa Bay Bucs
Ownership Percentage: 65.9%
Add Him: Consider this our weekly advisory to pick up Cameron Brate, but there is good reason I keep pushing him. The tight end position is hard to find consistency, and Brate has an ideal fantasy playoff schedule. He faces the Cowboys in Week 15 and the Saints again in Week 16. Neither of these teams has been particularly great against tight ends. Brate has a pretty solid floor (as much as any other mid-level tight end) and has shown upside this season scoring double digit fantasy points in four games this season. (Getty)

No. 5 RB Kenneth Farrow
Position: Running Back
Team: San Diego Chargers
Ownership Percentage: .5%
Add Him: The severity of Melvin Gordon's injury is uncertain. While the Chargers have tried to downplay the injury, when a player is carted off the field it is typically not a good sign. Farrow is a rookie running back and a bit of an unknown. Farrow did not have eye-popping stats without Gordon, but he held his own. He finished the day with 7 fantasy points in standard leagues. He's not an ideal player to plug into your lineup but is better than most options left on waiver wires. (Getty)

No. 4 K Kai Forbath
Position: Kicker
Team: Minnesota Vikings
Ownership Percentage: 1%
Add Him: It is not often that a team turns to a new kicker during the middle of the season, but Minnesota cut ties with Blair Walsh. It appears the Vikings found a gem in Kai Forbath. According to ESPN, he is owned in 99 percent of leagues. He has had 16, 10 and 7 fantasy points in his last three weeks. Every position counts the same in fantasy football, and fantasy playoffs can come down to the smallest of margins. Having Forbath over a marginal kicker in your lineup could be the difference in winning and losing. Don't underestimate the value of kickers. (Getty)

No. 3 Pittsburgh Steelers DST
Position: Defense
Ownership Percentage: 35.7%
Add Them: Hopefully, you took our advice last week and picked up the Steelers DST. They had another great fantasy week marking a month straight of solid production. Pittsburgh has scored double digits in most standard leagues (depending on the particulars of your scoring) in three of the last four weeks. They face the Bengals and Ravens the next two weeks. Neither team has had a high-powered offense this season. The Tampa Bay Bucs are another hot DST if the Steelers are taken in your league. (Getty)

No. 2 WR J.J. Nelson
Position: Wide Receiver
Team: Arizona Cardinals
Ownership Percentage: 5.6%
Add Him: J.J. Nelson was a hot commodity on waiver wires early in the season. His usage went down drastically in Weeks 10-12 and found himself back on the waiver wire in most fantasy leagues. The last two weeks he has re-emerged with 18 and 10 fantasy points. He does not have a plethora of receptions with just two in the last two weeks, but the Cardinals are utilizing him in a variety of ways. He's the kind of player that can go off in any week and is worth sitting on your bench to prevent your opponent from using him at the very least. (Getty)

No. 1 WR Dontrelle Inman
Position: Wide Receiver
Team: San Diego Chargers
Ownership Percentage: 27%
Add Him: Dontrelle Inman has had three straight weeks of double digit fantasy points in standard leagues. Over the last month, he has been the number one receiver for Philip Rivers. Inman faces the Raiders and Browns the next two weeks. Neither team possess particularly strong secondaries. The Browns give up the 5th most fantasy points to wide receivers, and Inman gets the plus matchup just in time for your fantasy championship in Week 16. (Getty)
