Monday Night Raw is currently airing a new episode live on the USA Network. Here’s everything that has happened so far:
10:58 – Triple H enters. He says that he plucked Seth Rollins out of obscurity and gave him everything he ever wanted; all Rollins had to do was hold up his end of the bargain, and he couldn’t do it. As soon as the pressure mounted, Rollins’ collapsed and spit in his face, Triple H says, and now he’s blaming his failure on the authority. If anything, Triple H decides, he’s the one who deserves an apology. Triple H adds that he’s been trying so hard to not be the guy who goes around beating people up and not caring about the consequences, but now he’s done trying.
Seth Rollins enters. He starts to approach the ring, ready to fight Triple H, but suddenly Rollins is attacked by…Samoa Joe! Triple H walks away as Samoa Joe brutally assaults Seth Rollins in the ring, and the show ends with Samoa Joe standing over Seth Rollins triumphant.
10:50 – Outside of the arena, Triple H arrives.
10:35 – Enzo Amore and Big Cass defeat Rusev and Jinder Mahal.
10:34 – Backstage, Sasha Banks and a WWE official help Sasha Banks back to her training room.
10:24 – Sasha Banks fights Nia Jax. Nia is so brutal on Sasha that the match is ended, but Nia continues beating on a very injured Sasha. Bayley runs out to fend off Nia, and Nia retreats backstage as Sasha lies injured in the ring.
10:11 – Brock Lesnar and Paul Heyman enter. Heyman describes Lesnar as crestfallen and disgraced, but he says that every famous athlete has a “yeah…but” associated with them, i.e. a low point in their career that stands in contrast with all the amazing highlights. Heyman says that now every time he says Brock Lesnar, someone says “yeah, but Goldberg,” and he truly despises that.
Heyman concludes that Brock Lesnar is officially challenging Goldberg to one final match at WrestleMania.
10:06 – A limo pulls up outside of the arena. But Triple H does not walk out…instead, out steps Brock Lesnar and Paul Heyman.
9:57 – Braun Strowman defeats Kevin Owens by disqualification, but Kevin Owens retains the Universal Championship. Just when all seems lost for Kevin Owens, Roman Reigns enters. He punches Strowman, and after the match is called, Roman continues to attack Strowman at ringside. He then enters the ring, spears Kevin Owens, and leaves.
9:54 – Before his match against Kevin Owens, Braun Strowman attacks Chris Jericho, who was sitting in on commentary. Jericho is carried backstage, meaning Owens will be on his own for the match.
9:47 – Chris Jericho tells Kevin Owens that he just talked to Mick Foley and that the match with Braun Strowman is still on. Owens says he’s sick of Foley abusing his power.
9:44 – Backstage, Sasha Banks prepares for a match against Nia Jax. Bayley tells her to relax and that she doesn’t have to prove anything; Sasha disagrees, saying she has everything to prove.
9:35 – Neville enters the ring and brags about being the new Cruiserweight Champion.
Rich Swann enters. He admits that Neville is one of the very best and tries to shake his hand, but Neville blows him off, demanding that he bow to him instead. Swann won’t do that, and the two of them start to fight; Swann has the advantage, and Neville retreats backstage.
9:26 – Backstage, Mick Foley and Stephanie McMahon argue about Kevin Owens having to face Braun Strowman tonight. Foley brings up Triple H’s music being played during a match with Seth Rollins last week, with Foley implying Stephanie had something to do with this. Stephanie denies it but again says that Triple H is on his way.
9:14 – Cesaro, Sheamus and Bayley defeat Luke Gallows, Karl Anderson and Charlotte.
8:59 – Seth Rollins enters. He says that while he may have been banned from the building last night, he’s here tonight and he’s live.
Stephanie McMahon enters. She says that Triple H isn’t here tonight, and Rollins isn’t surprised. He says that he doesn’t really care about Stephanie; he just wants to know when she’s going to let Triple H off his leash. Stephanie McMahon says that Triple H is afraid…afraid of what he might do to Rollins. She adds that she asked him to stay away, which Rollins doesn’t believe. Stephanie goes on to say that he should be begging her and Triple H for forgiveness because he owes them and the audience an apology. Rollins says that he’s sorry…for exposing Triple H for the gutless snake that he is. Triple H is scared because Rollins is a threat to his legacy, Rollins asserts, and he concludes that he has nothing left to lose.
Stephanie McMahon says she lied: Triple H actually is on his way to the arena right now.
8:46 – Tony Nese defeats Mustafa Ali.
8:41 – Kevin Owens enters Stephanie McMahon’s office. He’s really upset that Mick Foley is making him defend his title tonight. McMahon agrees that this is unfair, and she says she’s going to do what she can to get the match canceled.
8:36 – Backstage, Cesaro and Sheamus bicker about the Royal Rumble. Bayley tries to calm them down with a group hug. Charlotte, Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson then emerge and mock them. These six superstars will face one another in a three versus three tag team match tonight.
8:20 – Sami Zayn defeats Chris Jericho.
8:00 – Kevin Owens and Chris Jericho enter. Owens says that last night he proved Mick Foley wrong by winning in his match against Roman Reigns. But he did have help, Owens says, and so he thanks Chris Jericho. Jericho takes the mic and brags that he has spent more time in Royal Rumble matches than any WWE superstar in history. He also says that he would have won the Royal Rumble match except he was suffering from a terrible case of vertigo after being suspended from the shark cage.
Braun Strowman enters. Kevin Owens is about to thank him, but Strowman doesn’t accept his thanks. He says he did what he did last night for two reasons: one, he can’t stand Roman Reigns, and two, he wants the title shot he was promised by Kevin Owens. Owens is confused, so Strowman plays a clip of Owens telling Strowman last month that he’s next in line for a title opportunity. Strowman demands a title shot tonight.
Mick Foley enters. He says that he didn’t appreciate what Strowman did at Royal Rumble, but now he at least understands why. Foley also tells Owens that he did in fact promise Strowman a title opportunity, but Owens freaks out, saying that he can’t be expected to perform just a night after Royal Rumble. But Foley books the match, announcing that Strowman and Owens will have a title match tonight.
