Jabari Parker Injures Knee: Status & Update

Milwaukee Bucks forward Jabari Parker was having the best season of his short professional career. But that all changed when Parker injured his surgically-repaired left knee late in the third quarter on a non-contact play in a game against the Miami Heat on February 8.

On February 9, Parker and the Bucks’ fears came true when MRI results showed that he suffered an ACL tear.

Parker was driving to the hoop and planted his left leg in order to put up a shot. His knee buckled once he planted and he fell to the floor immediately in pain. He was helped to the locker room immediately by his teammates, and the Bucks said initially that it’s a sprain and he was out for the rest of the game.

The injury is similar in nature to when Parker tore his ACL in a game against the Phoenix Suns his rookie year.

Up until the injury, Parker was averaging 20.2 points and 6.3 points per game.

The Bucks got Khris Middleton back from his torn hamstring in the game against the Heat, but Parker going down adds a lot of question marks to the roster.
