In the teaser for Persil’s Super Bowl Commercial, which will air tonight during the game, our favorite Bill Nye ‘The Science Guy’ appears to have turned into a mad scientist.
Nye will star alongside Peter Hermann in the company’s second-ever Super Bowl ad, and based on the teaser, Hermann will have to help Nye, who’s clearly gone bonkers. The spot will air along with other cleaning brand ads like Mr. Clean and Febreze.
Janell Holas, the VP of Marketing at Persil, recently told Super Bowl Commercials, “We are excited to leverage our new commercial this year, giving our North American consumers yet another reason to switch to Persil ProClean… because we know once they try it, they’ll love it!”
The agency behind the ad, TBWA, is an international advertising agency and top ten ranked global network. The company was founded in 1970, in Paris, France, and is a unit of the Omnicom Group.
Peter Harmann, who stars in the commercial, is an American actor, producer, and writer, and is married to actress Mariska Hargitay. Harmann attended Yale University, and met his wife during an appearance on Law and Order: SVU. Together, the couple has three children. Bill Nye the Science Guy hosted his half-hour live action science show from 1993 to 1998.
