WATCH: Diamond Dallas Page Speaks at the WWE Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony

Diamond Dallas Page was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame on March 31st, delivering a speech thanking all of those who contributed to his WWE career.

Page opened his speech by saying that he is truly humbled and honored to be inducted into the Hall of Fame this year, to which fans in the room chanted, “You deserve it!” Page became noticeably choked up at this.

Page went on to talk about the fact that everyone thought he was insane for starting a wrestling career in his mid-30s, also saying that the type of matches he used to do seemed crazy at the time but now have become standard.

At one point during the speech, the crowd chanted “Yes!” and Page said that he is a huge fan of Daniel Bryan.

He also honored Dusty Rhodes, who died in 2015; Page said that it is bittersweet to be accepting the award without Rhodes being there to share it with him. Page also did a pretty incredible Dusty Rhodes impression, and he thanked Dusty Rhodes’ wife Michelle Rubio.

In addition, Page thanked Jake the Snake Roberts, saying that Roberts helped critique his performances and improve his craft. He also thanked John Laurinaitis and the fans themselves for telling the WWE that they cared about him.

Page thanked both his ex-wife and his current wife, explaining that his wife Brendan is a breast cancer survivor and his personal superhero. He ran through a long list of people to thank including The Miz, AJ Styles, “especially Chris Jericho,” Goldberg, and, finally, his mother.

Diamond Dallas Page was the first person to be honored during the 2017 ceremony, and his speech did not wrap up until nearly 50 minutes into the ceremony.
