Naomi made her surprise return to SmackDown Live this week on the final show before WrestleMania.
On March 28th’s show, Naomi ran out at the conclusion of a tag team championship match between Alexa Bliss, Carmella, Becky Lynch and Mickie James. She did not interfere in the match, instead coming out moments after Carmella brought her team to victory.
Naomi then announced that she is back for good and that she will be joining the Women’s Championship match at WrestleMania.
This was a shocking development, as it was thought that Naomi’s injury would keep her out of WrestleMania. She was forced to vacate her championship a few weeks ago after being legitimately injured during a match.
The WWE had left the door open for Naomi to return; they announced that the Women’s Championship match at WrestleMania would be Alexa Bliss fighting against all available women on the roster. Since Naomi is now available, she gets to join the match, and so there does not have to be a more complicated story reason for her return.
Now Naomi will get to participate in WrestleMania in her home state of Florida.
