WATCH: Finn Balor Suffers Reported Concussion on ‘Monday Night Raw’

Finn Balor reportedly suffered a concussion on Monday Night Raw this week.

This came during a match against Jinder Mahal on the April 10th episode of Raw. About a minute and 10 seconds into the YouTube clip above, Jinder Mahal drives his right elbow right into Finn Balor, and Balor drops to the floor.

For the rest of the match, viewers could see mat burn on Balor’s face left from this fall.

The nasty spot was pointed out by WWE viewers on Monday, and it was even played back in slow motion on Monday Night Raw. This slow motion playback of the moment has been removed from the WWE YouTube clip.

On Tuesday night, it became clear how serious this was. According to PWInsider, Finn Balor suffered a legitimate injury during this moment. The WWE has not yet officially confirmed that Balor was injured.

It’s unclear how long this may take Finn Balor out of action. If PWInsider’s reporting is accurate, Balor will need to undergo medical testing from WWE doctors to determine the seriousness of the concussion. Depending on the results, Balor could be kept out of action for as little as one week or as much as one year. At this point, it’s pretty difficult to tell.

This is all incredibly unfortunate for Finn Balor, the WWE superstar who just made his debut last summer, almost immediately winning the Universal Championship but being seriously injured in his SummerSlam match and having to vacate the title and leave for eight months.

Balor returned in April 2017, but now, in his second match back in the ring, he is injured again. Finn Balor was expected to have some sort of match at Payback, the upcoming Raw branded pay-per-view, but it’s unclear whether this will still happen.
