John Cena proposed to his real-life girlfriend Nikki Bella in front of tens of thousands of people at WrestleMania on Sunday night. So when will this wedding take place? And will it happen on WWE programming?

In an interview with The Today Show on Monday morning, Nikki Bella said that the wedding won’t happen in the ring. John Cena laughed at the question, and he very definitively said that this will not happen.

That doesn’t necessarily mean that viewers won’t get a chance to see John Cena and Nikki Bella get married, though. They both star in the E! reality shows Total Divas and Total Bellas, both of which have chronicled the relationship between John Cena and Nikki Bella over the past few years.

Assuming both of those shows are still airing by the time that the wedding takes place, it would be shocking if the ceremony was not documented for television. Season 2 of Total Bellas will air in 2017, but this will likely be completed and may even by broadcast before Cena and Bella’s wedding even happens. A wedding episode would probably have to be on Season 3 of Total Bellas, then, assuming E! orders another season of the show.

The engagement and the wedding will also likely be talked about and documented on Total Divas, another E! reality show of which Total Bellas is a spinoff, but season 6 of Total Divas is currently ongoing, and no seventh season has been ordered yet.

So when will the wedding between John Cena and Nikki Bella actually take place? On The Today Show, John Cena said that the date is totally up to Nikki Bella. Nikki Bella said that she hasn’t yet decided on a date, although she said that she doesn’t want a very long engagement, and so it sounds like she’s looking to have the wedding sooner rather than later.

Nikki Bella said, “I’ve already been scrolling my calendar on my iPhone like, ‘Do I like that Saturday date? Do I like this one?'”
