Braun Strowman has reportedly been legitimately injured and may be out of action for up to two months.

This comes from Pro Wrestling Sheet, which reported on Monday night that following tonight’s Raw taping, Strowman will be undergoing a procedure to fix some issues with his elbow.

So when will Strowman return? That remains unclear, but Pro Wrestling Sheet reports that he will be gone for four to eight weeks.

This could explain tonight’s Monday Night Raw segment with Roman Reigns and Braun Strowman. During the show, emphasis was placed on Braun Strowman’s kayfabe injury sustained at Payback, and during the show, Roman Reigns attacked Strowman and specifically targeted Strowman’s arm.

It would not be surprising if this attack becomes the in-storyline reason why Strowman is taken off of television for the next several weeks.

If Pro Wrestling Sheet’s report is accurate, Strowman will likely miss Extreme Rules, the upcoming Raw exclusive pay-per-view which airs on June 4th. If Strowman was to be taken out of action for four weeks, he would return on June 5th, the day after Extreme Rules.

A legitimate Strowman injury would almost certainly cause the WWE to rework its plans. It was rumored that the company’s plan was to have Brock Lesnar face Braun Strowman at Great Balls of Fire in July. That may still happen depending on the length of Strowman’s hiatus.
