Each looking to keep pace with Manchester City atop the Premier League table, Tottenham and Manchester United meet at Old Trafford on Saturday.

Unfortunately for a matchup this good, injuries are one of the biggest stories.
Just a day before the match, Tottenham announced that it would be without the services of all-world striker Harry Kane due to a minor hamstring injury.
“The doctor and medical staff made the decision to not take the risk,” said Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino. “There is no sense in taking that risk and making the problem bigger.”
Of course, as Manchester United is already without star midfield Paul Pogba, among others, United manager Jose Mourinho doesn’t have a whole lot of sympathy:
“We have no Ibrahimovic, no Pogba, no Marouane Fellaini, no Marcos Rojo, no Michael Carrick, so don’t speak to me about Harry Kane.” #MUFC
Still, the Kane injury looms as a much larger blow. Not only has the Englishman already found the back of the net eight times as he chases his third consecutive Premier League Golden Boot, but the timing is about as bad as can be, as United has conceded just four goals all season–and zero at Old Trafford. Spurs have plenty more talent in attack in the form of Christian Eriksen, Dele Alli, Son Heung-Min and Fernando Llorente, who is a candidate to replace Kane up front, but it’s hard enough to score against United, let alone without arguably the league’s best forward.
On the flip side, though, Tottenham has conceded just six goals on the season, while Mourinho’s side–after a torrid start to the year–has scored just once in its last two Premier League fixtures. With Kane out, Spurs may have more incentive to bunker down and play for a draw on the road.
This feels like a 0-0 result in the making, but with so much talent on the pitch, that can change in an instant. And that’s why it remains a must-watch match.
