Shortly after Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes threw a terrific 48-yard touchdown pass to Mecole Hardman to put his side up against the New England Patriots, tight end Travis Kelce scored his first career rushing touchdown on a lovely four-yard sprint into the endzone.

The Ohio native, normally known for his sensational catches shocked both fans and critics alike after powering his way forward to put the Chiefs up 17-7 at Gillette Stadium. This marks Kelce’s fifth touchdown of the season and the 37th in his nearly seven years in Kansas City.

Poised to be one of the biggest games of Week 14, the last time the Patriots and Chiefs played against each other was January’s AFC Championship game at Arrowhead Stadium, with Bill Belichick’s men defeating Andy Reid’s side 37-31 to punch their ticket to the Super Bowl.

Twitter Reacts to Kelce’s Incredible Milestone

The internet, in true fashion, went wild for Kelce’s run. Over on Twitter, there was nothing but compliments directed toward the 30-year-old receiver moonlighting as a running back.
