Most boxing fans are used to paying a premium price for marquee fights, but things are a bit different as Canelo Alvarez takes on Terence “Bud” Crawford today on Netflix. The Canelo-Crawford fight is being streamed on Netflix for free, and the only catch is you need to be a subscriber to watch.
“Unlike traditional pay-per-view combat events, Canelo vs. Crawford is free with your Netflix subscription, included in all plans,” Netflix details on their website.
Here’s how to watch the Canelo-Crawford fight.
Netflix Is Not Offering a Free Trial. Fans Will Need a Subscription to Watch Canelo Alvarez vs. Terence Crawford Fight
Some streaming services often offer free trials, but fans will need a subscription to watch the fight. Netflix is not currently offering any free trials, so watching the Canelo-Crawford fight will require a subscription.
The good news is Netflix is offering subscriptions for as low as $7.99, which includes ads. This plan allows two devices to watch Netflix as well.
Viewers can go ad-free for $17.99, which also allows people to add an additional user to the plan. Finally, the premium plan includes 4K streaming, four supported devices and the option to add two members who do not live in the same house.
All three plans will allow users to watch the Canelo-Crawford fight.
Fans Can Subscribe to Netflix for 1 Month to Watch Canelo-Crawford Fight & Then Cancel
There is an option for fans who want to watch the Canelo-Crawford fight but do not have an interest in Netflix. The best option appears to be to subscribe to Netflix for one month and cancel the subscription in order to watch the boxing match.
This may be less than ideal but $7.99 is much cheaper than some of the typical PPV prices which can top $80 for marquee pay-per-view events. If you are only interested in watching the fight on Saturday, September 13, subscribe to Netflix for one month and cancel after the boxing match.
