Dak Prescott Asks Family, Friends for ‘Prayers’ After Calling Off Wedding

Dak Prescott and Sarah Jane Ramos have officially called off their wedding, according to TMZ. The outlet previously reported that the former couple ended things following an argument at their joint bachelor/ette parties. On Monday, March 9, TMZ posted a the text contained in an email that was allegedly sent to wedding guests.

“As many of you know, our wedding is currently scheduled to take place in Lake Como, Italy, on Friday, April 10, 2026. It is with heavy hearts that we privately inform our attendees that we have made the very difficult decision to cancel our wedding,” the email read, per TMZ. “We deeply apologize for any inconvenience this may cause you and we welcome your prayers.”

TMZ says it received a copy of the email from one of the 250 wedding guests who received it.


The Reason for Dak Prescott & Sarah Jane Ramos’ Split Is Unclear

Neither Prescott nor Ramos have spoken publicly about their decision to end their relationship. There have been a number of rumors about what might have gone wrong between the former couple, but nothing has been confirmed at the time of this writing.

According to TMZ, rumors that Prescott and Ramos broke up over a prenuptial agreement are not true.

Prescott and Ramos have been dating since 2023. The Dallas Cowboys quarterback proposed to Ramos in November 2024.

“The best week of my life with the love of my life. You make me the happiest girl on Earth and I cannot wait to be your wife… I love you in this life and the next, @_4dak ! To forever with you,” Ramos captioned some photos, which are still live on her Instagram account.

She and Prescott share two daughters together. According to TMZ, there’s no chance that the two will get back together.


Sarah Jane Ramos Has Made Changes to Her Instagram Since News of the Split Broke

When TMZ initially reported that Prescott and Ramos had split, Ramos appeared to have archived some recent posts from her Instagram account. As of this writing on March 9, the posts are back.

In one upload, Ramos shared photos from her bridal shower.

“The most intimate and beautiful bridal shower of my dreams. So grateful for my aunts who hosted it and my girlfriends and family that came to celebrate. I love you all so much and can’t wait to marry the love of my life with all of you by my side,” she captioned that post.

In another, Ramos celebrated her bachelorette with her girlfriends.

“I truly believe you can get through anything in life as long as you have really great friends. I love these girls so much,” that particular caption read.

Interestingly, Ramos still follows Prescott on Instagram—and vice versa.
