Golfer Cameron Young and wife Kelsey Dalition have three young children, and anyone following the career of the budding PGA Tour star has gotten to see them grow up on the golf course.
Young surged into a tie with Rory McIlroy heading into the final day at the Masters, then surged into the lead during the round. As he aims for a big win, wife Kelsey and their children would be watching along.
Cameron Young’s Children Give Him Motivation
Young and Dalition have three children together — sons Henry and John and a daughter, Vivienne. After scoring his first career PGA Tour win last August, Young lamented that his kids weren’t there to see the big moment.
“Last year at the Wyndham Championship happened to be one of three weeks that they missed all of last year, so they were celebrating 2,500 miles away,” he said.
Young said when he finally got back to his wife and children, it was a memorable moment.
“So to get to see them after I did my interviews… actually give my boys a hug and see my wife and my little girl, it’s something that I’ll remember for a long time.”

The family has had more chances to be together on the golf course, with pictures showing them all together several times. Young talked about his boys this week, saying he took them to the golf course before the Masters.
“I’ve got a 3- and a 4-year-old boy, and it’s kind of the first time they’ve had any interest in it,” Young said, via Golfweek. “So that was fun just to get to see them trying something new and enjoying what I spend a lot of my time doing.”

While Young may be doing his best to get them involved in golf, he admits that it’s not capturing their full attention just yet. After he won the Players Championship in March, Young said his kids weren’t too keen on seeing his trophy and instead had their attention on a drone taking some video of the ceremony.
“There’s a lot going on out there,” he said, via the Miami Herald. “My kids are more interested in the drone than the trophy, which I think is a really nice bit of perspective on a day like today. But yeah, really thankful to have them here.”
But Young, who said he makes time to attend Catholic mass with his family every weekend, including before Sunday’s final round of the Masters, said he appreciates this phase of their lives.
“Honestly, it’s a blessing because they’re just happy to see me at the end of the day. They don’t care that I’m holding the Players trophy,” he said.
