The 2026 Farmers Insurance Open at Torrey Pines Golf Course in San Diego offered a total purse of $9.6 million, one of the larger non-signature purses on the PGA Tour early in the season.
In a sport where purse size is increasingly tied to field strength and commercial appeal, the Farmers Insurance remains a staple stop on the West Coast Swing.
Compared with some of the season’s biggest purses, this $9.6 million pot sits in the upper middle tier of PGA Tour prize money offerings. But for a regular tour stop outside of the marquee events, it’s still a major payday for professionals.
What Every Finish Earns
Here is the payout structure for the 2026 Farmers Insurance Open:
Leaderboard Rundown
At the top of the leaderboard, Justin Rose is in complete control, carrying a six-shot lead into the final holes. The 45-year-old English veteran has been virtually untouchable through three rounds at Torrey Pines, posting a 54-hole total of -21 under par, and looks poised to convert that cushion into his 13th career PGA Tour victory, and a second Farmers Open title after winning in 2019.
Rose’s performance this week has drawn comparisons to some of the course’s all-time great finishes, with his score through 36 and 54 holes threatening tournament records and showcasing elite iron play and scoring consistency on one of the season’s toughest tests. As of mid-round action on Sunday, he maintains a firm grip on the top spot and is widely favored (-20000 odds) to walk away with the title barring a late-round collapse.
Chasing Rose is a competitive but distant pack: Joel Dahmen, Si Woo Kim, Maverick McNealy and Ryo Hisatsune. Also not far back are players like Tony Finau, Max McGreevy, Seamus Power, and Stephan Jaeger, who all sit inside double-digit under par and are fighting for a strong finish and a spot inside the top five.
Further down the leaderboard, several notable names have made the weekend cut and are trying to climb the ranks. Brooks Koepka, making his return to the PGA Tour after playing in LIV Golf, successfully made the cut and is working toward a respectable finish, currently around T61 and looking to pick up momentum as he adjusts back to PGA Tour competitive golf.
