The dynamic trio of Corbin Carroll, Geraldo Perdomo, and Ketel Marte gives the Diamondbacks one of the best hitting trios in MLB.

Three players on the Arizona Diamondbacks ranked in MLB Network’s Top 100 players in 2026. Right fielder Corbin Carroll was the highest-ranked Diamondback at No. 9, followed by second baseman Ketel Marte at No. 19, and shortstop Geraldo Perdomo at No. 24.

It comes as no surprise that the three hitters rank so highly. The trio of Perdomo, Marte, and Carroll anchors the top third of the Diamondbacks’ batting order. Perhaps the more satisfying part is that the trio could all be playing together through the 2030 season, as they’re each signed to team-friendly extensions.

Both Carroll and Marte made MLB Network’s All Top-100 team, with Arizona being the only team to feature multiple players.

The trio of Perdomo (138), Marte (145), and Carroll (139) each turned in a wRC+ of at least 135 in 2025. That marks the first time that the Diamondbacks have had three qualified hitters produce that level of offense. The closest comparable season was 2015, with Paul Goldschmidt (163), A.J. Pollock (131), and David Peralta (137) putting up at least 130 in 2015.

Here’s what each player accomplished in 2025, and what their outlook is for 2026.

Corbin Carroll is the Face of the Diamondbacks Franchise

When building a contender, it’s important to have that homegrown player who serves as the true compass of the team. The Diamondbacks have two such players between Perdomo and Carroll. However, it’s obviously clear that Carroll is the aircraft carrier of the team.

Carroll possesses the type of power and speed combination that can break games offensively. He turned in the first 30-homer, 30-steal season in Diamondbacks history. That came just two seasons after becoming the first-ever rookie to post a 25-homer, 50-steal season. There aren’t many feats the 5’10”, 165-lb. outfielder can’t do on the baseball field.

2025 saw a massive quality of contact improvement, leading to a sustainable power breakout. Carroll’s barrel rate jumped to 14.5%, ranking in the 90th percentile among MLB hitters. He also hit the ball in the air (64.3%) and pulled the ball (42.4%) more than ever before. That led to an air pull rate of 22.9% of batted balls, which, with Carroll’s speed, means more extra-base hits.

It would not be a surprise if Carroll led the 2026 Diamondbacks in many offensive categories and was in the MVP discussion. Arizona has already gotten its Prospect Promotion Incentive pick, due to him winning the 2023 National League Rookie of the Year Award. That turned into Ryan Waldschmidt, who is the organization’s top prospect and a candidate for the team’s left field vacancy.

Ketel Marte’s High Ranking Justifies Diamondbacks’ Trade Decision

The Diamondbacks shopped Marte around this offseason. With a Top 20 player under contract for five seasons on a discount, the team was looking for a superstar return. That ultimately didn’t happen, so Arizona will enjoy watching him hit in the heart of their lineup.

Marte was once one of the core building blocks of the team when they acquired him nine years ago from the Seattle Mariners. He turned out to be the best player in general manager Mike Hazen’s first major trade.

But as he’s gotten older, he is now the key veteran cog of the lineup that the team relies upon in key situations. He has a proven postseason pedigree, with the longest hitting streak in postseason history (21 games) and an NLCS MVP. He’s slugged 25 or more home runs in each of the past three seasons, so he’s Arizona’s primary power threat at the top of their lineup.

2026 could be his last season playing a position regularly. The Diamondbacks have three quality second baseman prospects, one of whom is banging on the door for an opportunity. As Marte ages, he’s likely to transition more into a full-time designated hitter role in the final years of his contract.

Geraldo Perdomo is the Heart and Soul of the Diamondbacks

GettyGeraldo Perdomo’s scrappy mindset often sets the tone for the Diamondbacks lineup.

Perdomo doesn’t have the best physical talent, but no player can squeeze more out of his gifts than he does. He had a big breakout in 2025, becoming just the third player in franchise history to post a 7.0 WAR season.

The biggest improvement came in the power department. Entering 2025 with just 14 career home runs, Perdomo slugged 20 in 2025.

The extra power has made Perdomo a much more dangerous hitter. Teams can’t easily lay in pitches in the heart of the strike zone, meaning they have to work the edges more. With pitchers having to be more careful with one of the best batting eyes in baseball, that meant a spike in walks. In fact, he walked (94) more times than he struck out (83).

His ability to grind out at-bats, which made him one of the best nine-hole hitters in their 2023 postseason run, also translates to the leadoff spot. Considering the caliber of hitters behind him, Perdomo often set the tone for the first at-bat of the game.

In addition to the all-around dynamic hitter he’s developed into, Perdomo is a solid defensive shortstop. While he doesn’t great range, he’s about as sure-handed as it gets at the position.

While unlikely to repeat his amazing 2025 season, Perdomo is still integral to the team’s success.
