The Atlanta Braves are set to begin a three-game series against the Los Angeles Dodgers at Truist Park at 7:15 p.m. EDT on Tuesday.
Before Tuesday’s game, the Braves announced news regarding shortstop Jim Jarvis.

Via the Atlanta Braves on X: The #Braves today recalled OF Brewer Hicklen to Atlanta and optioned INF Jim Jarvis to Triple-A Gwinnett.
The Braves selected Jarvis’ contract on May 6. They optioned him six days later.
Atlanta recalled Jarvis on July 2. He remained with the big-league club until being optioned on Monday.

Jarvis, 25, has slashed .207/.267/.297 with one home run, five doubles, one triple and 11 RBI across 38 games with Atlanta this year.
The shortstop has slashed .313/.406/.461 with six home runs, 20 doubles, three triples, 32 stolen bases and 36 RBI in Triple-A this season.

The Detroit Tigers selected Jarvis in the 11th round (No. 320 overall) of the 2023 MLB Draft.
Detroit traded Jarvis to the Braves for right-hander Rafael Montero at the 2025 trade deadline.

The Braves defeated the Milwaukee Brewers on Sunday after losing the first two games of the series on Friday and Saturday.
Atlanta has lost seven of its last 10 games. The Braves were swept by the Minnesota Twins in three games from Monday through Wednesday. They defeated the Chicago White Sox in a makeup game on Thursday.

Atlanta has a three-game lead over the second-place Philadelphia Phillies in the division standings. The Phillies have won nine-straight games.
