On Friday night, the Boston Red Sox will open up a series with the Atlanta Braves at Truist Park in Georgia.
The Red Sox are coming off a series where they lost two out of three to the Philadelphia Phillies at Fenway Park.
They most recently lost Thursday’s game 3-1.
Caleb Durbin finished the series with one hit and four strikeouts in seven at-bats.

Future Hall Of Famer Red Sox Must Consider
With Durbin struggling, the Red Sox should consider making a trade for Arizona Diamondbacks third basemen Nolan Arenado.
He is in his first season with Arizona, batting .274 with 37 hits, six home runs, 20 RBI’s and 22 runs in 40 games.
In recent years, there had been a lot of rumblings about the Red Sox being a suitor for Arenado.
Why Arenado Could Still Help Boston
Despite being 35, Arenado is still a productive player that the Red Sox could rely on.
He is a future Hall of Famer who would bring a massive level of accountability and experience to a young clubhouse.
It’s also worth mentioning that Durbin is batting .172 with just one home run in 134 at-bats.
How much more do we need to put up with Caleb Durbin?
Don’t give me the defense nonsense. There isn’t enough offense on this team to carry his weight.
He is ranked 178 out of 179 qualifying players in OPS. He is ranked 177 out of 179 in slugging. He is ranked 176
The Red Sox are at the bottom of the American League East with an 18-25 record in 43 games.
That said, they are just 3.0 games back of the final Wild Card spot.
There is still good reason to believe the Red Sox should be buyers at the trade deadline.
Arenado’s MLB Career
Arenado was picked in the second round of the 2009 MLB Draft.
He spent the first eight years of his career with the Colorado Rockies before five with the St. Louis Cardinals.
The eight-time MLB All-Star (and 10-time Gold Glove winner) is batting .282 with 1,958 hits, 359 home runs, 1,204 RBI’s, 1,014 runs and 31 stolen bases in 1,827 career games.
Over the offseason, Arenado was traded to the Diamondbacks (via the Cardinals).
