The Detroit Tigers have officially opened the doors to their brand-new Priority Club, an exclusive 13,000 sq ft members-only space located beneath the stands at Comerica Park.

The new club, which can accommodate approximately 500 guests, serves as the final milestone in a massive org-wide investment (now totaling more than $160 million) toward enhancing fan and player experience. Priority Club opening day was July 24, and it sits adjacent to the Home Plate Club and the two team clubhouses.

Upon arrival, Priority Club welcomes guests with artful details inspired by Detroit’s storied architecture and baseball heritage. A grand staircase and industrial glass windows echo the city’s historic grit as fans descend into a space that gradually transitions from urban loft design into more polished, field-level elegance. It’s an environment that blends polished modernism with visual storytelling, housing Tigers memorabilia, photos, and artifacts that offer a narrative of the franchise and Motor City culture.

“Among several significant renovations at Comerica Park, we’re thrilled to celebrate the final milestone of officially opening the highly anticipated Priority Club,” Ilitch Sports + Entertainment President and CEO Ryan Gustafson said.

Luxury, History, and VIP Access Unified

Members of the Priority Club enjoy a seamless and elevated experience from parking lot to seat. Amenities include exclusive VIP parking, private entry lanes, dedicated restrooms, and climate-controlled seats positioned directly behind home plate–the closest vantage point to game action. The environment is designed for comfort, exclusivity, and uninterrupted enjoyment of a Tigers game, paired with premium hospitality rooted in Detroit’s tradition and pride.

“We heard a lot from our fans that they wanted an area that was high end,” Gustafson said. “They want to entertain clients, they wanted to entertain employees, they wanted a place where they could go to have and drink that was in proximity to their seats.”

The club is split into two zones: one dedicated to food and drink stations and one comprising more intimate lounge areas ideal for pre- or post-game mingling. Both zones feature curated menus showcasing local cuisine, plus Detroit-themed craft cocktails and high-end service. Quick access ensures fans don’t miss a moment of action while still experiencing upscale amenities.

Design Meets Detroit Storytelling

Every architectural detail within the Priority Club ties back to Detroit’s narrative. The bar evokes the famed arches of Detroit’s industrial era, while signature brickwork and glass framing reinforce strength and legacy.

The décor evolves as fans move through the space, starting with bold historical visuals near the entry and leading into a warmer, more modern aesthetic near the seats. It’s both a luxury environment and a living museum honoring the team’s past, the city’s evolution, and the baseball experience.

Illitch Sports + Entertainment President and CEO Ryan Gustafson described the launch as a celebration of both the park’s symbolic architecture and the Tigers’ championship legacy. He called the new club “an unmatched premium guest experience” and noted that it marked a culminating point in Comerica Park enhancements, rounding out years of facility upgrades.

Culinary Excellence at Center Stage

The Priority Club offers rotating menus influenced by seasonality and Detroit’s food scene, meaning every visit could include fresh and unique culinary choices. Signature items include Coney Dogs “en croute,” local charcuterie, brick-oven pizza, seared lamb loin, wild sea bass, sushi spreads, and desserts like chocolate lava cake and berry cobbler. These dishes are designed to elevate the ballpark food experience while retaining familiar favorites.

“There are great, great flavors all throughout … every station has something exciting,” executive chef of Comerica Park for Delaware North Sportservice, Mark Szubeczak, said. “The food is ready; we are constantly making fresh food. We are making small plates. We will be cooking, and we will just put up plates of fresh food. It’s more small plates and we are cooking live.”

Even grab-and-go options are thoughtfully curated so that fans can return to their seats quickly. With easy flow between dining and seating zones, the club balances efficiency with indulgence, because at its core the space is about watching a game in style and comfort.
