During their series with the Royals, the Tigers announced the latest update on Riley Greene.
He has been out since August 11 with an injury.
MLB.com wrote (on August 21): “Completing a running, hitting and defense progression at team facility in Lakeland, Fla. Will be back in Detroit on Aug. 24 to continue baseball activity. Expected to require longer than minimum IL stint.”

According to the site, he could still return to action by the end of the month (or September).
Prior to the injury, Greene had been batting .273 with 115 hits, 16 home runs, 54 RBIs, 65 runs and three stolen bases in 117 games.
