The Los Angeles Dodgers wrapped up a series victory over the Pittsburgh Pirates on Sunday, completing a sweep and extending their winning streak to six games.
They’ll have Monday off before beginning a big series against the Atlanta Braves on Tuesday night. Atlanta currently owns the third-best record in the National League behind Los Angeles and the Chicago Cubs.
Ahead of the series, the Dodgers made an exciting announcement involving recently retired legend Clayton Kershaw.
Dodgers Announce News on Kershaw
The Dodgers announced that Kershaw will join Joe Davis and Kirsten Watson in the broadcast booth Tuesday as a color analyst for SportsNet LA.
“Tune in to SNLA Tuesday night when Joe Davis, Clayton Kershaw and Kirsten Watson call the game as the Dodgers take on the Braves. Coverage begins at 3 p.m. PT and first pitch at 4:15 p.m. PT,” the Dodgers posted on social media.

MLB Fans React on Social Media
As expected, baseball fans were excited to hear that Kershaw, who spent 18 historic seasons with the Dodgers, would join the broadcast booth.
“Oh this is going to be GREAT,” one fan said.
Someone else added, “MY GOAT IS ON THE BROADCAST TOMORROW.”
Another person wrote, “Kersh AND Kirsten?? broadcast?? I’ve prayed for days like this.”
“I don’t know why Kersh is on the call but I. CANT. WAIT!” another fan shared.
“This is going to be awesome!” one more fan commented.
Kershaw’s MLB Career
Kershaw decided to end his MLB career after last season, when he helped the Dodgers win their second World Series title during his career. He missed the Dodgers’ postseason run in 2024 after suffering an injury and did not appear on their World Series roster.
He did, however, represent Team USA in the World Baseball Classic earlier this year before officially hanging up his cleats.
During his legendary career, Kershaw earned 11 All-Star selections, won three Cy Young Awards and led the majors in ERA five times. He finished with 223 wins, a 2.53 career ERA and 3,052 strikeouts.
