On Tuesday night, the New York Mets will be at home to host the Arizona Diamondbacks.
The Mets are coming off a series with the San Francisco Giants where they won three out of four.
That said, the more significant concern was the fact that Juan Soto got injured on Friday night.

MLB World Reacts To Soto News
Here’s what people were saying about the news:
Ernest Dove: “Juan Soto to IL made the most sense. This team literally pretty much punted two games not wanting to push their high leverage arms early, so why in the world would you risk your generation bat aggravating this injury in April.”
Mike Kurland: “#Mets Mark Vientos has a 2-3 week window to run with the 1B/DH job. It’ll all work itself out in terms of who will lose playing time once Juan Soto returns.”
@Ben_Yoel: “This is the correct decision. Better safe than sorry.”
@Grossed_Out: “Always best to play it safe with such injuries, especially early in the season. You don’t want these nagging injuries to stick around. Mets offense has done well despite his absence this past series, and hopefully can continue”

Michael Hauff: “Juan Soto to the IL is not a tremendous surprise and it honestly it could have been worse. Hope it’s not something that lingers!”
@sclawoje24: “Kind of figured this. when I ran a lot, I had a few calf strains and it would feel better until I started running again. you really need to let it heal all the way..”
@imjust_jack06: “Now we get to see Young, Vientos, Baty continue to play. We’ll learn if their games were outliers or if they have actually improved.”
