For Sunday’s game, manager Aaron Boone has revealed that Stanton will likely get the day off.
Via Greg Joyce of The New York Post: “Giancarlo Stanton will likely be out of the lineup tomorrow, per Boone, giving him a double off day going into the Red Sox series.”

Stanton is in his ninth year playing for New York.
He is currently batting .257 with two home runs, ten RBI’s, six runs and one stolen base in his first 19 games.
The 36-year-old still remains one of the most important players on the team.
