After the game, Schlittler met with the media (via YES Network).
Schlittler: “Obviously, it wasn’t that sharp. It wasn’t sharp last week in Toronto either. So I just got to take the positives out of that and continue to do it next week… I think their approach is put the ball in play and the amount of times I faced them, we’ve come to know that as a team, so it comes down to just poor execution, not making great pitches, the walks there. Just waste pitches… Got deep enough to put the team in a position to win and that’s great. I’m not happy overall with my performance. I think I could have been a lot better, but again we won the game and that’s all that matters.”
