Soon, the Chicago Bulls are going to go on the clock at the 2026 NBA Draft to select an incoming rookie star.
With a favorable lottery outcome–moving up five spots–the Bulls won the fourth-overall pick. Players such as AJ Dybansta, Darryn Peterson, and Cameron Boozer will likely take the top three spots.
Currently, most mock drafts see the Bulls selecting Caleb Wilson out of North Carolina.
If that’s the case, the Bulls will love a recent quote from Jay Williams on ESPN’s Get Up.
Major Expectations For Potential Bulls Pick Caleb Wilson

“Caleb Wilson, watching him work out, has shown the ability to put the ball down on the ground… By the way, the first time I saw him this year, the bar was Jermaine O’Neal. The ceiling? Kevin Garnett,” Williams said on Get Up.
“Now, when I watch him play, the bar seems like Kevin Garnett, the ceiling seems like Giannis. It feels like that’s where his ceiling could be.”
High Praise For A Potential Bulls Star

That’s a lot of pressure and high praise to live up to, but the Bulls have to be excited about the thought of potentially adding a player with the skill set to convince analysts that he has that kind of ceiling.
The 19-year-old entered the NCAA as a top player in his recruiting class. The five-star recruit out of Atlanta decided to attend North Carolina and played for just one season.
Wilson appeared in 24 games–all starts–averaging 31.3 minutes of action.
The forward shot 57.8% from the field to average 19.8 points per game. He also produced 9.4 rebounds per game, along with 2.7 assists, 1.5 steals, and 1.4 blocks.
With the Bulls making it clear they have entered a rebuild, Wilson will have plenty of opportunities to play as a rookie. If he is on the path to pan out like any of those players named above, the Bulls would be thrilled.
