Not even one year after leaving the Detroit Pistons, the veteran guard Jaden Ivey remains an NBA free agent.
The 24-year-old is in a much different position compared to last season.
Are There Any Updates On Jaden Ivey?

Outside of a recent ranking of top free agents, where Ivey was excluded from the primary list, but added as an honorable mention, there hasn’t been any promising reports on Ivey’s NBA future.
Back in late June, Ivey was announced as part of a Summer League tournament, but that didn’t seem to generate too much buzz for an NBA return.
Currently, Ivey has some baggage stacked against him due to controversial comments he made off the court last season after getting traded by the Pistons.
His recent injury concerns don’t help his case much as well.

Detroit secured Ivey with the No. 5 pick in the 2022 NBA Draft. The former Purdue guard appeared in 74 games as a rookie. Ivey was impressive with averages of 16.3 points, 5.2 assists, and 3.9 rebounds per game.
Three years in, the Pistons were becoming competitive. Ivey was a primary contributor, producing a career-high 17.6 points per game. Unfortunately, an injury derailed his season after Ivey made 30 appearances.
That injury set up Ivey for a struggle-filled 2025-2026 campaign. The veteran appeared in 33 games for the Pistons, averaging just 8.2 points per game, while shooting 45.0% from the field in 16.8 minutes of action.
The Pistons traded Ivey to the Bulls, who rolled him out for four games. An injury forced the Bulls to shut down Ivey before ruling him out for the season. Then, after his comments, the Bulls waived Ivey.
It’s unclear what’s next for the ex-Piston, but he is an intriguing free agent target for guard-needy teams.
