The Warriors are coming off a 118-111 loss to the Cleveland Cavaliers (at home).
Al Horford did not play in the game.

Horford has not appeared in a game since the middle of March.
Before Sunday’s game, the Warriors announced a new update on the former All-Star.
ESPN’s Marc J. Spears wrote: “Warriors say Al Horford, who has missed the last 11 games due to a strained right soleus, is making good progress. He continues to advance the level of his on-court workouts and was incorporated into parts of team practice today. He will be re-evaluated again early next week.”

Horford is in the middle of his first year playing for Golden State.
Right now, he is averaging 8.3 points, 5.3 rebounds, 2.6 assists and 1.2 blocks per contest while shooting 42.4% from the field and 36.0% from three-point range in 43 games.

The Warriors have had a tough season due to injuries.
They come into Sunday’s showdown with the Rockets as the tenth seed in the Western Conference with a 36-41 record in 77 games.
Over their last ten games, the Warriors have gone 4-6 (and they have lost three in a row).

They are coming off a year where they beat the Rockets in the first round of the 2025 NBA playoffs (before losing to the Minnesota Timberwolves in five games).
ESPN’s Anthony Slater had written on March 31: “Al Horford is still limited to individual work, but said his calf strain is progressing and he hopes to return and get in a few regular season games prior to the play-in tournament. Warriors have seven games left.”

Rockets Before Chase Center Visit
The Rockets come into the game as the fifth seed in the Western Conference with a 48-29 record.
They are in the middle of a five-game winning streak (and have gone 7-3 over their last ten games).
On the road, the Rockets are 20-19.
