On Friday evening, the Golden State Warriors will play the Detroit Pistons in Michigan.
They are coming off a 120-99 loss to the Celtics in Boston.
Quinten Post finished the loss with six points, five rebounds and three assists while shooting 2/4 from the field and 1/2 from three-point range in 21 minutes of playing time.

UPDATE: Quinten Post has been ruled out.
For Friday’s game, the Warriors could be without Post.
He is listed as questionable on the injury report.
Dalton Johnson of NBC Sports Bay Area wrote: “De’Anthony Melton and Kristaps Porzingis are not on the injury report for the Warriors’ game tomorrow against the Pistons, which is the first night of a back-to-back @NBCSWarriors
Quinten Post is questionable, and LJ Cryer is probable”

Post is in his second season after being selected with the 52nd pick in the 2024 NBA Draft out of Boston College.
He is currently averaging 7.8 points, 4.1 rebounds and 1.4 assists per contest while shooting 44.0% from the field and 33.5% from three-point range in 65 games.
Michael Scotto of HoopsHype wrote (on June 29, 2025): “Just In: The Golden State Warriors will exercise the $1.96 million team option on Quinten Post, league sources told @hoopshype. Post averaged 8.1 points, including shooting 40.8 percent from 3-point range, and 3.5 rebounds in 16.3 minutes per game for the Warriors.”

The Warriors have had a season defined by injuries.
They come into their showdown with Detroit as the 10th seed in the Western Conference with a 33-36 record in 69 games.
Over their last ten games, the Warriors have won just twice.
Following the Pistons, they will visit Jalen Johnson and the Atlanta Hawks on Saturday at State Farm Arena.

The Pistons are the first seed in the Eastern Conference with a 50-19 record in 69 games.
Following the Warriors, the Pistons will remain at home to host Luka Doncic and the Los Angeles Lakers on Monday night in Michigan.
At home, they are 25-8 in 33 games.
