The Philadelphia 76ers were hit with a hefty fine for violating injury reporting rules again with Joel Embiid.

The Philadelphia 76ers are back on the court on Monday, March 30.

Down in Florida, the Sixers are set to take on the Miami Heat. Monday night marks the third meeting between the Sixers and the Miami Heat.

When the two Eastern Conference foes met in South Philly for the first time on November 23, the Heat continued a winning streak after sweeping the Sixers during the 2024-2025 season. A 127-117 victory extended the Miami winning streak to five games in a row.

The Sixers hosted the Heat again on February 26. Philadelphia managed to snap the streak with a 124-117 win. Tyrese Maxey led the way for the Sixers by scoring 28 points in 37 minutes. He accounted for a double-double with 11 assists. Joel Embiid checked in for 31 minutes to put up 26 points and notched a double-double with 11 rebounds.

The veteran forward Kelly Oubre Jr. notched 21 points while shooting an efficient 8-13 from the field.

The Sixers will start Tyrese Maxey, VJ Edgecombe, Paul George, Dominick Barlow, and Joel Embiid on Monday.

Oubre will continue his role off the bench.

The Sixers are getting healthy at the right time.

Last week, the Sixers landed several key players back in the lineup. Paul George returned from his 25-game suspension. The veteran forward didn’t have any setbacks in his first time out, and he felt good coming out of the Sixers’ blowout victory over the Chicago Bulls.

Joel Embiid made his return from an oblique strain. The star center hasn’t missed any action since, and has avoided the injury report, which is a major step in the right direction for the former MVP.

Tyrese Maxey and Kelly Oubre were the final two core players to return from extended setbacks. They each contributed to the big win over the weekend.

Although the Sixers slipped deep in the NBA Play-In just a few weeks back, Philadelphia is just 0.5 games outside of the top six. The Miami Heat are holding a 39-36 record, which places them 2.5 games behind the 76ers heading into the game.

The Sixers and the Heat are slated for a 7 PM ET tip on Monday.
